Board of Directors

Officers

Sarah Kee, Co-President

My name is Sarah, and I am truly enjoying my current role as Co-President. I have met such wonderful people and shared many laughs by volunteering my time to the organization. Having that sense of community has been a tremendous support for me and my family. Taking a glimpse into my personal life, you'd see that my wife, our two-year-old twin girls, and our two miniature schnauzers keep me pretty preoccupied. Traveling, scrapbooking, and event planning & decorating are just a few of my favorite hobbies.

Michelle Codding, Co-President

Hi! I love being a member of this amazing club, and am thrilled to be able to volunteer on the Board! I have 3 year old boys and a 1 year old singleton girl. This club has been my main source of support, laughter, empathy, and community over the past couple years, and I'm so thankful to have made amazing friends while in the trenches of being a new parent of twins. I love all of the advice, the "realness", and the fresh ideas I get here, and it's always fun to catch up with so many others at our all club events like the holiday party and spring picnic. The Board is a lot of fun - it's a learning experience and it's filled with people who want to give back. We don't take ourselves too seriously, but do make big efforts to make the club as inclusive, fun, and helpful as possible:)

Julie Jensen, Treasurer

Welcome! I have identical twin girls born in April 2017 and a feisty toddler born in 2014. I joined the board of Gemini Crickets so that I could give back to an organization that has been overwhelmingly supportive, welcoming, and full of amazing resources for twin families! Gemini Crickets is a wonderful community of families and I am incredibly grateful for all of the friendships that I've made and for all of the advice that I've received.

Sheila Collins, Secretary

I am co-chair of fundraising for GC and I have very energetic three-year-old twin boys! I joined the board to contribute to a club that has been super helpful and supportive in my new role as a mom of multiples. But I also joined because it's really fun!  We have lots of social events and we make the club events amazing for the rest of the members. Additionally, I love being a part of an organization that assists less fortunate members of our community.

Gloria K., Co-Fundraising Coordinator

I joined Gemini Crickets because of the resources it provides to all families of multiples, including my own. The club is open to all families, and it's been a great way to get through the whirlwind journey of parenting of multiples. If anyone wants to start a surf/skateboard subgroup, message me.

Our family moved to San Jose when our daughters were just 4 months old, and the amazing families we quickly met through Gemini Crickets provided the support network we needed to blossom in our new community.  Three years later, we've made lifelong friends who've shared all of the challenges and joys of raising twins through playdates, moms' and dads' nights out and, of course, endless text messages.

Allison Ploederer, Event Co-Coordinator

Hi, my name is Allison. My husband and I have 1.5 year-old boy/girl twins and two dachshunds. Together, they keep us on our toes! Before I had my children, I had a career as a teacher. Currently, I’m enjoying spending time at home with them before they head to preschool. Gemini Crickets has given our family countless resources, tips, and much needed support through every obstacle that raising multiples has presented. My only regret is not joining sooner! I’m happy to have found such a wonderful club with families that I can relate to on so many levels. My hope is to be able to plan fun family events for all our members, like so many our family have enjoyed in the past.

Melanie Staley, Co-Philanthropy Coordinator

I am a busy homeschooling mother to three active boys. My singleton was born in February 2012 and my identical twins were born in June of 2014. I joined Gemini Crickets in the hopes of making new friends for both myself and my children. I ended up gaining so much more than I expected! From park play dates and club parties, to moms' nights out, running buddies, and ever listening ears, Gemini Crickets has given me a support circle that has been with me through every crazy step of raising multiples. I joined the board as the events coordinator in an effort to give back to an organization that has given so much to me. I love volunteering for this group and hope to do so for a long time.

Tara Ferdosi, Social Media Coordinator

I am mom to the most enthusiastic and sensitive 5-year-old and two 1.5 year twins with most unique and dynamic personalities. One of the first people I called once I realized I was pregnant with twins was my friend Theresa who is a twin mom and former GC board member. She was so sweet and supportive, came to my house with her sweet toddlers and sat me down and explained to me all I needed to know to get through a twin pregnancy/registry, etc. Having twins (or more) is an experience like no other from the minute you realize you are carrying twins on! Being part of GC allows me to meet and build friendships with people that are going through the similar situations as I am. My twin parent friends share my joys, hardships, laughs, and challenges of raising twins with me. Together we conquer twin parenting!

Karla Holmes, School Age Co-Coordinator

I've been involved with Gemini Crickets since before our twins were born and I love it because the focus is on the entire family-not just the moms. I enjoy sports (especially volleyball), cooking, art, running, yoga, and most outdoorsy things. One of my biggest passions is for coming up with new ways to keep things organized. I'm excited to be a co-coordinator for the school-age group this year.  We have some fun things planned!

Michelle Studley, School Age Co-Coordinator

I have identical twin girls born July 2013 and a singleton born September 2017. I was born and raised in the South Bay and live in Campbell. I️ joined Gemini Crickets because the group just felt right! They knew the struggles I faced with multiples. They provided support and friendship. I️ joined the Board two years ago as a way to give back, stay involved, and surround myself with great people.

Bobby Schneider, Dad's Group Coordinator

Hi! I’m Bobby, an engineer in the wireless semiconductor industry. More importantly, I’m a husband to Katie, and father to identical 3 year olds Maddie and Ella! To give back to this group that helped me through the rough baby years (So. Much. Crying.), my aim is to organize quarterly “dad’s night out” social opportunities. Together, we can strengthen and renew our commitments to having fun, being good parents, and developing friendships. That’s #whyIGC.
